The Situation:
The Hikers House is a new luxury accommodation positioned at the foot of the Mourne Mountains in County Down. The client had a passion for hiking and climbing well-known mountains across various continents. They had a very clear vision of the quality of the brand they required which needed would align with similar like-minded customers.

Our Approach:
Following dialogue with the client, I prepared several design concepts for consideration all using different creative directions based on The Hikers House name. From these initial designs, a clear direction was chosen for development.
The visual identity badge was formed from a pictorial representation of the incredible mountainous views when looking out through a framed window, with its overall shape representing the roof of a cabin lodge. A rich and golden textured colour palette was chosen to reflect the high spec of the interior. The mountain peaks depicted were non-specific given the client’s brief.
Our client has since launched their Instagram and Facebook social media channels. Throughout their photographic imagery, a keyline mountain peak was used so as to give watermark ownership to the imagery when shared across social media.
The client has also set up accounts on Booking.com, Airbnb and Vrbo. Based on the initial success of their platform bookings the client also commissioned their own dedicated booking online website to be designed and built to avoid high commission costs placed by the other booking providers. Having their own website also enabled individually tailored packages to be offered to specific client requests.
The Result:
The client now has a strong, consistent and recognisable brand. They have since grown their Instagram and Facebook social media channels by several thousand. We designed and launched their dedicated website and they are now successfully booking over 26 visitor stays per month.
